Our location at 601 N. Belair Office Square, Suite #4 is in the heart of the Evans Town Center. We plan to stay on top of things as the Town Center continues to develop!

Believing that art breathes life and soul into a community, Broadstrokes is committed to bringing fine art to the residents of Evans. Our hope is that by featuring the works of local fine artists, the developing Evans Town Center will be enhanced with a touch of authenticity reflective of it's rich legacy.

The gallery features both contemporary and traditional artwork from ten of the regions' best artists. The collection contains a diversity of mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture and pottery.

Originally located in downtown Augusta, Broadstrokes Gallery started in the spring of 2000 as a joint venture between four female artists. Lillie Morris was among this founding group and helped breath life into the downtown art community. The name Broadstrokes came from its location on Broad Street's Artists' Row and the fact that all the partners were female.

In 2004, Denise Norton, a portrait artist from the Evans area, joined Lillie at the downtown location. The two Columbia County women seized the moment when doors opened to bring the Gallery to the county. They were quickly joined by other exhibiting artists and craftsmen such as Judy Avrett, Karen Banker, Bea Kuhlke, Brenda Lang, Thomas Lyles, Nancy Schulz, David Stuart, Jim Tar, Lucy Weigle and Frances Wells.
